Hi everyone!
My experience in English at the university was very
different between its sections. This may be due to the fact that each section
has its own and different teacher, and this was difficult for me on several
occasions, due to the different ways of seeing the subject and the different
types of teaching.
On the other hand, the use of blogs helped me a lot,
because I learned several things that without blogging I could not have learned
(especially grammatical things).
I think I should especially improve my speech and
practice this aspect above all else. I can understand theoretical or
grammatical things, but I believe that the practice (speaking) of the language
is the fundamental base. Since English is something that I am interested in
learning hopefully in the near future, I am thinking of taking private lessons
of the language, and being able to practice with people who have more knowledge
than me.
I use a cell phone application to learn English,
called Babbel (I think it is a German application), and for me it works a lot,
because this application has different ways of applying what I have learned,
from typing with the keyboard to speaking into the microphone… so, I practice writing
and speaking with the app.
To be honest, the only space that English has in my
current days is in the use of the application, sometimes reading some things
(sheet music or other texts), practicing writing in some opportunities, and
things like that. I would like to have the time to be able to practice my
English more outside of class time (which sometimes makes me quite ashamed) to
improve the things that I consider still weak in myself.
